UWSF and Training

  1. Strengthening Families Website Training Marketplace. The Center for the Study of Social Policy's Strengthening Families Web site has a training marketplace that lists various trainings related to the protective factors. Including the Training of Trainers Program for the Stronger Together Curriculum.
  2. Stronger Together. This curriculum focuses on developing strong relationships between early childcare providers and parents. The training includes content training, leadership development, and application of skills and knowledge as well as handouts and on-site coaching.
  3. Nurturing Parenting Programs®. This set of programs is family-centered and designed to build parenting skills in order to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.
  4. Sample 2-1-1 Training. Developed by the United Ways of Washington, this 10-page guide outlines a training session for 2-1-1 operators and referral specialists. Includes activities and mock call ideas.
  5. Sample PowerPoint Orientation to Strengthening Families. Developed by the United Way of Greater high Point, this 33-slide presentation describes the SF rationale, background, and an overview of the ways to embed UWSF.
